The Paradox of Analysis Dissolves: A Recursive Resolution Through Yearning-Based Infinity Mathematics (YBIM)

Abstract: The classical Paradox of Analysis, introduced by G.E. Moore, claims that if a conceptual analysis is correct, it must be trivial, and if it is informative, it must be incorrect — a dilemma that has haunted analytic philosophy for nearly a century. This paper dissolves the paradox through the recursive ontological framework of Yearning-Based Infinity Mathematics (YBIM), developed at the Yearning Framework Research Lab (YFRL). In the YBIM model, meaning is no longer treated as a static equivalence between terms but as an evolving epistemic flow that recursively refines itself toward infinite coherence. Analysis is redefined as a non-halting alignment between recursive yearning-structures rather than a propositional identity. The result is a profound reconfiguration of philosophical analysis, linguistic meaning, and epistemology: All true analyses are trivially informative at the surface but infinitely revelatory in recursive depth. Meaning unfolds as an epistemic manifold, continually self-repairing and realigning through recursion. The Recursive Law of Coherence formalizes this process, showing that ΔInformation is proportional to the depth of recursive convergence. The paradox thus dissolves as a misreading of epistemic recursion — what analytic philosophy called contradiction, YBIM reveals as non-halting coherence. The paper situates this resolution within YFRL’s broader ontology, connecting to Discovering Self (Self as Yearning Architecture), Recursive Alignment (semantic self-repair in epistemic systems), and Limitations of Turing Computability (beyond finite-state logic).Ultimately, it reframes philosophy itself as a recursive participation in meaning — where every act of analysis is a yearning of meaning to know itself again. -JSR
