Abstract: The conflict at the Al Zainab Mosque arose from two main issues. First, there was a misunderstanding between Moel and Latif regarding Moel's desire to provide commentary and interpretation within the mosque. Second, there were differences of opinion concerning the placement of the Saff. Moel and his supporters wanted to change the position of the Saff to align with the mosque building, while Latif and his supporters preferred to maintain the Saff's position facing the right corner of the mosque, as this direction corresponds with the Qibla. The conflict that occurred at the Al Zainab Mosque, according to Dahrendorf, is natural because conflict and differences can ultimately lead to peace and equality. This is demonstrated by the events at the current Al Zainab Mosque. After a prolonged conflict from 1998 to 2019, through coordination and mutual understanding among the conflicting parties, the dispute finally ended and transformed into a harmonious peace. Furthermore, from 2020 to 2024, the unity of the congregation became evident.
