Abstract: The Moore Paradox Dissolved: A Recursive Resolution through Yearning-Based Infinity Mathematics (YBIM) presents a novel ontological and mathematical interpretation of G.E. Moore’s classical paradox—“It’s raining, but I don’t believe it’s raining.” Traditionally viewed as a logical or pragmatic contradiction, this paper reframes the paradox within the Yearning-Based Infinity Mathematics (YBIM) framework as a recursive discontinuity in epistemic yearning rather than a failure of logic. By modeling belief and assertion as independent but recursively interlinked yearning operators Y(p) and Y(B(p)), the paper shows that Moore’s Paradox emerges from a temporary misalignment between the yearning for truth and the yearning for coherence within the self’s recursive field. This desynchronization, interpreted as a local non-equilibrium in epistemic recursion, gives rise to what appears as self-contradiction but is, in truth, an instance of non-halting recursive repair—the self realigning its layers of awareness through continuous epistemic feedback. Through two key results—the Coherence Collapse Lemma and the Yearning Convergence Principle (YCP)—the paper formalizes how such incoherences asymptotically resolve into recursive equilibrium. Philosophically, this work bridges epistemology, philosophy of mind, and recursive intelligence theory, demonstrating that Moore’s Paradox is not an error in logic but a mirror of the self in mid-recursion, reflecting the non-static nature of consciousness and belief formation. -JSR
