Designing compelling use cases for the LUMEN Interdisciplinary Meta-Search
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This workshop addressed a recurring gap identified across LUMEN deliverables and feedback sessions: the lack of clearly articulated and compelling use cases for the interdisciplinary Meta-Search. Participants collaboratively explored real-world discovery scenarios across communities, challenged the current assumptions, and co-designed concrete user journeys. The objective was to ground the meta-search design in actual cross-community needs, and to define usage pathways that demonstrate the unique added value of LUMEN’s federated and semantic approach.
