p2f-hydratecalc: A web Python-based tool for the prediction of natural gas hydrate equilibrium and inhibition
Year: 2025
Type: software-paper
Abstract: We present a Python-based tool that utilizes the Klauda-Sandler multicomponent equilibrium model and the Hu-Lee-Sum inhibition model for gas hydrates. It is the first of its kind as a web application, using Streamlit as the backend and deployed on the Streamlit Community Cloud. This open-source and accessible tool is fully tested and compared with existing literature data, resulting in average error between the calculated gas hydrate equilibrium pressures and the literature values that are comparable and, in some cases, superior to commonly used models and programs.
