Self-Worth Regulation and Decentering in Psychosomatic Rehabilitation: The Influence of Mindfulness and Meditation on Self-Esteem
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Self-esteem is a central psychological resource influencing how individuals cope with mental health challenges. In psychosomatic rehabilitation, patients with elevated depressive symptoms often struggle with negative self-perceptions and maladaptive self-worth regulation. This study examines how mindfulness and meditation interventions influence decentering and adaptive self-worth regulation, and whether habitual tendencies like self-verification affect these processes. Findings aim to inform interventions that support recovery and enhance psychological resilience.
