The Metaphysics of Simulation: Reality and Representation in the Age of AI
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This paper contributes to the literature by developing a metaphysical framework for understanding simulation and reality in the age of artificial intelligence. It argues that AI transforms representation into creation, giving rise to a new form of hyperreality where the distinction between truth and illusion, copy and original, becomes ontologically irrelevant.
