Abstract: This paper contributes to the literature by redefining autonomy and freedom in the context of artificial intelligence. It argues that while machines operate within deterministic boundaries, they exhibit emergent forms of synthetic freedom—demonstrating that autonomy is not the absence of constraint, but its intelligent negotiation.
