Abstract This theory introduces the Relativistic Biological Time (RBT) framework — an interdisciplinary bridge between physics and biology. It proposes that every living organism experiences an internal “biological time” that can contract or dilate depending on internal energy velocity and physiological balance.By extending Einstein’s theory of relativity into biological systems, this concept provides a unified explanation for aging, rejuvenation, and metabolic adaptation. RBT suggests that biological time is not absolute but dynamically shaped by the sum of all internal velocities — molecular, cellular, circulatory, and neurological. ⸻ 2. Introduction In physics, Einstein’s special relativity shows that time slows down as an object moves closer to the speed of light. In biology, living systems are also in constant motion: blood flow, neuronal transmission, DNA replication, and metabolic reactions all represent internal velocities.Hence, the concept of “relative time” naturally extends into biology — where an organism’s internal energy activity determines its rate of aging and regeneration. For example, high metabolic acceleration may shorten biological time, while a balanced, efficient system may stabilize or even prolong it. ⸻ 3. Theoretical Foundation Einstein’s time dilation formula is expressed as: t’ = t / √(1 - v²/c²) When adapted to biology, the velocity of light (c) is replaced by a biological constant α, representing the maximum sustainable energy level within an organism. To reflect internal energy dissipation rather than motion through space, the sign inside the radical is inverted, producing the Relativistic Biological Time equation: t_bio / t = 1 / √(1 + (α·v_bio)²) Where: • t_bio is the perceived biological time, • v_bio is the composite biological velocity, • α is a proportional constant depending on physiological resilience and energy efficiency. The equation indicates that as internal biological velocity increases, the experienced biological time contracts — analogous to faster metabolic aging. Conversely, optimal energy balance maintains biological time dilation, corresponding to slower cellular aging and longer vitality. ⸻ 4. Structure of Biological Velocities The internal biological velocity (v_bio) results from the integration of multiple biological layers, each contributing uniquely to overall system dynamics: 1. Molecular level – DNA replication, enzyme reactions, protein synthesis. 2. Cellular level – cell division, repair, and metabolic exchange. 3. Tissue–Organ level – blood circulation, oxygen transport, organ function. 4. Neural–Endocrine level – neurotransmission, hormonal feedback, reflex regulation.
