Abstract: The Finnish Quality of Psychosis Care Register (FQPCR) monitors and evaluates the quality of care and clinical and social outcomes in individuals with schizophrenia or other schizophrenia spectrum psychotic disorders. Routinely collected data from various nationwide registers are used for case identification, information on treatment and evaluation of outcomes. FQPCR covers primary and specialized care, social services, medication prescription and purchases, psychotherapy, and rehabilitation. Through linkage with the longitudinal socioeconomic information from Statistics Finland, the register also includes socioeconomic information and can report social outcomes. Initiated in 2018, the register's development has been ongoing, with new indicators being published annually. The advantage of using routinely collected data from multiple registers is having 100 % coverage and follow-up even if individuals have discontinued or completed their treatment. The register has also started collaboration with other national quality registers, which allows presenting indicators on quality of treatment of comorbid medical condition in the future. Register indicators are published by wellbeing services counties (n = 21), which in Finland are responsible for organizing health, social, and rescue services. Research has been an integral part of the development of the register, as it can give evidence-based advice on how to improve the quality of treatment and outcomes of patients. The presentation will give a brief overview of the history and current content of the FQPCR and present results from two outcome indicators which have been recently added to the register, employment and mortality.
