The Impact of the Results of Road Construction Work on the Accident Rate of Federal Motorways

Abstract: Road construction works are one of the conditions for ensuring road safety. The work determines the impact of reconstruction (with an increase in the number of lanes without barriers separating traffic flows), major repairs (with an increase in the number of lanes with and without barriers; without an increase in the number of lanes) and bridge repairs on changes in the number of registered accidents. The method of research was the calculation of the coefficient of change in accidents using a statistical comparison of "before" and "after".
