The Enlightenment of Enlightenment – On the Origin of Order
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This essay presents the English realization of Die Aufklärung der Aufklärung – Vom Ursprung der Ordnung,a philosophical work that explores the evolution of consciousness from mythic immediacy to rationalized order.Rather than being a literal translation, this version represents an autonomous realization of the same conceptualstructure within the English cultural and linguistic context. It traces the movement of thought from the undivided self toward increasingly ordered worldviews, examining how religion, philosophy, and modernity emerge as successive rationalizations of human experience. From the Hebrew covenant to Christian Trinitarianism, from the formative balance of early Islam tothe secular transparency of Enlightenment reason, the text reconstructs the long process by which ordergains stability while losing proximity to its living origin. The essay concludes that the Enlightenment fulfills itself only when it becomes aware of its own mechanism—that order arises from openness and cannot replace it.In this sense, the work is both a philosophical narrative of consciousness and a meta-reflection onthe Enlightenment’s own self-understanding.
