Exploring the notion of individuality in research on mathematics teacher education and professional development
Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: In this paper, we present findings from our initial analysis of TWG18 papers published in the CERME13 post-conference proceedings. In response to the call by Jeppe Skott to re-centre the individual in research on and with mathematics teachers in his plenary address during CERME12, we look into the notion of individuality and the individual-context relationship in research on mathematics teacher education and professional development. We present our results having analysed the abstracts of 40 papers to explore how the interaction between teachers and their environment are portrayed.
