Discovery of a Low-Frequency Gravitational Background Mode (~0.06 Hz): Structural-Informational Model of Space-Time

Year: 2025
Type: preprint
Abstract: : A low-frequency background oscillation of the metric structure of space–time with a characteristic frequency of approximately 0.06 Hz is explored within a structural–informational framework. It is shown that such oscillations may arise naturally from a cellular organization of space–time characterized by a fundamental energy density (pressure) and a hierarchical two-level structure. At the local level, this structure manifests as a normal lattice associated with electromagnetic phenomena and particle dynamics, while at a deeper global level it forms a background lattice responsible for gravitational interactions and large-scale coherence. Within this approach, elementary particles are interpreted as stable localized oscillatory states of the structured background, and mass is interpreted as a structural property associated with the volume and energy density of space–time cells, rather than as an independent intrinsic parameter. A modified de Broglie relation incorporating a large additive quantum number is employed to describe both microscopic and macroscopic motion in a unified manner. The proposed model establishes links between classical mechanics, gravitation, quantum concepts, and cosmology, and suggests that the low-frequency background mode may weakly modulate characteristic dynamical frequencies of physical systems across a wide range of scales. Possible observational signatures are discussed, with particular attention to the dynamics of Foucault pendulums as potential probes of background space–time structure.
