GN5-2 MARnet OAV Architecture Analysis

Year: 2025

Type: article

Abstract: This document maps MARnet’s Operations and Business Support System (OSS/BSS) to the TM Forum’s Open Digital Architecture (ODA) and analyses the mapping to provide a standardised view of the components and implementations of orchestration, automation and virtualisation within the NREN. It highlights MARnet's strategic alignment with contemporary digital architecture standards and emphasises the critical need for automation within MARnet's operations to meet the growing demands of education and research activities. The analysis also identifies opportunities for further enhancement of MARnet's intelligence management capabilities through advanced technologies like machine learning and AI-capable tools, positioning MARnet to proactively adapt to emerging technological trends.
