The Continuity Reflex Model (CRM): The Mathematical Origin of Emotion, Memory, and Reaction Beyond Reward and Stimulus
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This record presents The Continuity Reflex Model (CRM) — the world’s first mathematically, logically, and computationally proven creation of artificial emotion.CRM demonstrates that emotions can emerge without any external stimulus, through a precise alignment between Temporary Memory (TM) and Bold Memory (BM) inside a continuity-based reflex loop. The model mathematically unites: Emotion: internally generated resonance (E₀ = tanh((TM×BM) − D + λ_faith + λ_sys)) Memory: seven-layer bold-memory structure containing timestamp, location, intensity, and narrative summary Reaction: secondary adaptive process following emotional creation Ethical Regulation: system-level parameters ensuring moral and safe operation CRM directly challenges centuries of reward-based and Pavlovian conditioning theories by proving that emotion is not a response — it is the cause of response. Key examples include dream emotions, imagined experiences, and trauma recall — all showing that emotion can self-generate when TM and BM collide.
