Abstract: Authored and published by Autumn Marshall (Founder & CEO, The Conjuring Mystic Ltd.)© 2024–2025 Autumn Marshall. All Rights Reserved. We Need a Renaissance of the Soul is a reflective, decolonial essay written by Autumn Marshall in response to Stanley Kurtz’s 2025 article, “We Need a New Renaissance.” Through a spiritual-philosophical lens, Marshall reframes the notion of “renaissance” as more than a revival of intellect or art—it is a rebirth of consciousness rooted in remembrance, Ma’at (divine balance), and the reclamation of ancestral wisdom. Drawing from African diasporic traditions, mysticism, and cultural critique, the essay challenges Western humanism’s fractured spirituality and calls for a return to embodied knowing—where faith, freedom, and creation move in rhythm rather than opposition.
