Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This article explores the importance of kinesthetic learning in early childhood education, emphasizing the value of physical movement and hands-on activities in fostering cognitive, social, and emotional development. The author argues that kinesthetic methods are particularly beneficial for young learners who struggle with traditional, sedentary learning styles. By engaging students in activities that involve touch and movement, such approaches improve memory retention and enhance language skills, as evidenced by research. The article further connects kinesthetic activities to established educational theories, including Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and enactivism, which highlight the need for inclusive and interactive teaching methods. The author illustrates the practical application of these methods, suggesting that kinesthetic learning not only aids academic achievement but also creates a more dynamic and engaging classroom environment. The article concludes by advocating for continued integration of kinesthetic strategies to foster a more inclusive, stimulating educational experience, and points to the potential for expanding these methods with technological advancements.
