Abstract: As a core branch of the Guangdong embroidery system and a national intangible cultural heritage, Chao embroidery, with its unique craftsmanship and visual aesthetics, provides important creative resources for contemporary design. Based on the detailed craftsmanship, aesthetic expressions, and contemporary application practices of Chao embroidery, this paper systematically sorts out its transformation paths in the field of design, analyzes the integration logic between craftsmanship and design by combining specific cases, and clarifies the core value and practical boundaries of Chao embroidery in contemporary design, so as to provide references for the dynamic inheritance of intangible cultural heritage and design innovation.
