TrendSense: An AI-Driven Predictive Intelligence Platform for Technology Foresight

Abstract: TrendSense is an AI-driven predictive intelligence platform designed to forecast emerging technological trends within high-velocity innovation spaces such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Vector Databases. The research addresses the challenge of “information time lag,” where traditional tracking methods react too slowly to new developments. TrendSense shifts the paradigm from reactive to proactive foresight by aggregating niche data from academic preprints, developer repositories, and industry discussions. Using advanced feature engineering, time-series analysis, and machine learning, it computes a unified Trend Score that predicts the likelihood of a technology’s mainstream adoption within the next 3–6 months. The system has demonstrated an 8.3 Trend Score in simulated testing, validating its predictive model. The study concludes that TrendSense effectively filters information noise and delivers actionable intelligence for researchers, developers, and organizations to anticipate innovation trajectories early.
