The Emotional and Structural Engineering of the Human Being: Introducing Preciada Azancot's Septidimensional Model

Type: article
Abstract: Humanity has long sought a coherent model capable of explaining not only how we think, but how we feel, act, create, and transcend. The Splendour of the Human Being (Azancot, 2016) presents such a model: the MAT Metamethodology (Metamodel of Transformational Analysis), a framework describing the human being as a septidimensional system, in which six vital structures and their authentic emotions are organized around a Vacant Center that integrates and harmonizes them. This paper introduces the MAT model in its foundational dimension—what Azancot termed the “emotional and structural engineering of the human being.” Drawing from more than two decades of empirical observation and cross-disciplinary analysis, it proposes that every human function corresponds to a specific authentic emotion that acts as an intelligent regulatory energy. This structure provides measurable criteria for balance, creativity, and ethical behavior. The paper situates this model within the broader field of contemporary psychology, neuroscience, and systems theory, contrasting it with frameworks by Maslow, Damasio, and Panksepp. The MAT offers a new epistemological synthesis in which emotion, reason, and transcendence form an integrated science of human flourishing—a science of splendour that redefines both personal development and collective innovation.
