Abstract: This thesis document provides an overview of the lighting process of the musical Xanadu, including information about pre-preparation, paperwork, collaboration, and execution of the lighting design. It also comments on the importance of the process of producing theater in an academic setting, while recognizing the bounds of the resources we have to work with.
