The Relationship between “Individual”–“Relational” Conflict and Autistic Traits and Anthropophobic State

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to re-examine the model that “individual”–“relational” conflicts cause anthropophobia while considering aspects of autistic traits. The results of the questionnaire survey (Anthropophobic State Scale, Autism-Spectrum Quotient (AQ), and the “Individual”–“Relationship” Conflict Scale) of 305 people between 18 and 25 years suggested that the higher the autistic traits, the smaller the relationship between “individua”–“relationship” conflict and “worrying about myself and others”. Meanwhile, it was suggested that “individual”–“relational” conflicts may be a factor in many anthropophobia-related worries, even among those with high autistic traits.
