Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Presentation delivered at the joint Copim, SCOSS and SPARC Europe webinar held on Tuesday 11 November 2025: Beyond technical interoperability? The future of open infrastructures and open access. The presentation looked beyond technical interoperability to how we socialize it to our different stakeholders. It showed how technical interoperability enables us to have conversations. For example, the Policy Forum on Open Access Books, where funders and policy makers can align their thinking and work alongside members of the OPERAS OA Books Special Interest group and its working parties on infrastructure and business models. For publishers, DOAB collaborates with several trusted platforms to enhance the discoverability of open access books and create a more seamless process for publishers to enhance discoverability, simplify metadata integration processes and increase trust in open access book platforms.
