Biomaterials in Radiotherapy: Nano Tracers Enhancing Targeted Treatment of Cancer Cells
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Nano-biomaterials have great promise in clinical use as drug carriers in oncology for enhanced drug delivery, therapeutic response imaging diagnostic imaging, trimodal combination chemo-radio-immunotherapy at specific dosage to reduce the chemo-radiotherapeutic resistance, minimal invasive intervention in viral, fungal, bacterial prevention and various therapeutic applications in cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disorders, regenerative medicine, eye disease and brain diseases. Human clinical trials have been reported based on liposomes, polymeric, metallic, silica, carbon-based and hybrid nanoparticles. However, many technical and clinical trials have reported the challenges of nano-biomaterial manufacturing scalability, expansive synthesis, expected size- shape- surface properties, difficult functionalization, long-term safety, biodistribution and biocompatibility in human body live environment. In present study, a new nanotechnology Robotic Nano-Navigator Alert Performing (RNNAP) application is proposed to do simultaneous drug-controlled delivery, diagnostic-imaging, trimodal combination chemo-radio-immunotherapy, therapeutic resistance reduction to enhance patient outcome with future directions and scope of further research
