Abstract: This masterclass, presented by Entangled Positions, offers insight into the challenges faced when building a quantum workforce. We will discuss solutions to overcome these challenges and navigate a complex sector in the early stages of its development. With multiple stakeholders, governments, academia and industry need to align to create an ecosystem that benefits all. Quantum is a decentralised global sector, offering opportunities for a diverse range of regions, nations, skills and people to benefit. With it being an area requiring deep research and innovation, there is a high value in integrating all of the separate stakeholders, and this requires training and upskilling for those with non-quantum skills as well as creating jobs that do not even exist today.
