The Information Woven Multiverse: A Framework for Information-Preserving Cosmology

Year: 2025
Type: preprint
Abstract: This work presents a theoretical framework in which information is treated as the foundational structure of physical reality. Instead of assuming that space, geometry, and matter exist first, the model begins with global information conservation and shows how quantum states, correlations, and entanglement patterns give rise to the effective geometry of the universe. In this picture, the “distance” between systems is determined by how much information they share, and the shape of spacetime emerges from the strength and distribution of informational connections. The paper develops a consistent mathematical formulation using standard quantum mechanics, density matrices, mutual information, and unitary evolution. It introduces a correlation-defined notion of distance, builds an emergent geometric structure from informational links, and studies how local and global information densities shape curvature-like behavior. A reduced cosmological model is then constructed in which the expansion and contraction of the universe are influenced by an information–coherence term. As coherence dilutes during expansion, the universe eventually reaches a maximum size and reverses into contraction. At extremely small scales, coherence becomes high enough to prevent a classical singularity, producing a bounce and a loop-like evolution instead of a Big Bang singularity. The framework remains consistent with quantum mechanics and general relativity, while offering a unified way to interpret spacetime, matter, and cosmological dynamics through informational principles. The result is an information-woven multiverse in which geometry is emergent, information is never lost, and cosmology evolves in cycles governed by coherence rather than singularities.
