Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This research paper presents a comparative study of five major national education systems—India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Japan. The paper analyzes differences in structure, curriculum, teaching methods, governance, assessment patterns, learning outcomes, and policy frameworks. Using qualitative analysis and secondary data from OECD, UNESCO, government reports, and published literature, the study highlights how each country approaches schooling and what India can learn from high-performing systems such as Singapore and Japan. The paper also discusses global benchmarks like Finland to provide broader educational context. It aims to support independent researchers, educators, and policymakers in understanding worldwide educational models and identifying possible reforms in the Indian education system.
