The Impact of Operational Performance on Financial Results in the Storage and Transportation Sector

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study explores how operational performance affects the financial results of transportation and warehousing companies. Data was gathered from 2012 to 2024 from the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). Using panel data regression analysis, the research examined the relationship between operational performance indicators and financial outcomes. Operational performance was assessed using metrics such as receivables turnover, inventory turnover, payables turnover, cash conversion cycle, fixed asset turnover, return on equity (ROE), and return on assets (ROA). Financial performance was measured by earnings per share (EPS). The results show that, at a statistically significant level, a one-unit increase in ROE corresponds to a 0.8760 rise in EPS. Conversely, a one-unit increase in the cash conversion cycle (CCC) is linked to a decrease of 1.0106 in EPS, which is also statistically significant. Overall, the findings reveal a negative relationship between EPS and CCC, and a positive relationship between EPS and ROE, with both being statistically significant.
