Field-Based Dynamic Decision Logic: A Formal Framework
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This work introduces a formal mathematical framework for field-based dynamic decision logic, extending classical decision theory into a physically meaningful, coherence-driven domain. Instead of modeling decision as a static choice between discrete alternatives, this framework interprets decision as a dynamic transition from an unstable nullpoint in a field. A decision occurs when the decision field Ψ: reaches the nullpoint — Ψ(t₀) = 0, does not remain there — lim(Δt→0⁺) ∂Ψ/∂t ≠ 0, exhibits non-sticking behavior — Ψ(t₀+ε) ≠ 0, and satisfies an entropy-increase condition — dSΨ/dt > 0. This integrates decision-making with: the Dynamic Equivalence Framework (DEF), the CNBIT coherence field system, entropy-based validation criteria, bifurcation and stability analysis, and field-based representations of information and context. The resulting theory treats decision as a coherence-breaking, coherence-forming transition in a multidimensional field (X × T × C). This approach opens new research avenues in nonlinear dynamics, information theory, quantum-inspired decision models, and adaptive complex systems. The publication includes: formal definitions and operators, a complete decision operator DΨ, nullpoint boundary analysis, bifurcation conditions, entropy and CNBIT validation laws, and a fully integrated mathematical structure. This framework presents a conceptual foundation for future empirical investigation into field-based cognitive, physical, and computational decision systems.
