Integrated Pedagogical Approaches to Cultivating Linguistic Creativity Among School Learners

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This article examines comprehensive pedagogical approaches to fostering students’ linguistic creativity in the context of school language education, with a specific focus on Kazakh and English language classrooms. Linguistic creativity is considered a core component for shaping communicative competence, critical thinking abilities, and learner autonomy. The study synthesizes international academic insights and Kazakhstan’s national educational priorities to outline effective strategies such as creative writing, genre-based interpretation, linguistic games, role-play, visual-literary integration, digital media applications, and project-based learning. Inclusive practices that support diverse learners’ needs are emphasized. Challenges—including curriculum rigidity, teacher preparation gaps, and limited technological access—are discussed, followed by recommendations for policy enhancement, teacher professional development, and collaborative resource-sharing. Cultivating linguistic creativity is presented not merely as an enrichment activity but as a key dimension of holistic education that enables students to construct meaning, express individuality, and participate competently in the multilingual and multicultural realities of the 21st century.
