Decision-OS V4 Polaris-Origin: An Entry OS for Seeing Structure with AI
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Decision-OS V4 (Polaris-Origin) is the entry operating system for structural thinking in the age of AI. As large language models automate knowledge and surface reasoning, V4 defines the missing layer as “structure literacy”—the ability to extract hidden invariants when contradictions and explanations collide. This paper formalizes V4 as a minimal OS built on a paired engine of divergence and convergence (Contradiction Apple and A→B→Deny→C) and a four-stage structural pipeline (contradiction, discovery, compression, emergence). It also introduces the reasoning-depth triad—Question Structure, Linguistic Diversity, and Human-OS Plasticity—as a model of how AI reasoning depth emerges in dialogue. Within the Decision-OS lineage, V4 functions as Polaris, the North Star: it orients the mind toward structure so that later layers (V5 SiriusA, V6 PIC, V7 Aspire Intelligence, etc.) can operate across safety, memory, recursion, and civilizational dynamics. V12 is planned to formalize “structure” at the universal scale; V4 provides the first experiential doorway into it.
