Abstract: Some Christians distance themselves from friends who are experiencing hardship, not because The Scripture (The Holy Bible) supports such behavior but due to fear, discomfort, or limited spiritual maturity. This short article examines common human reasons for withdrawal and contrasts them with the Bible’s consistent call to bear burdens, offer comfort, and follow Christ’s model of compassionate presence. Drawing from key passages in the New International Version (NIV), the discussion emphasizes the biblical mandate to support the suffering and highlights God’s unfailing faithfulness as the foundation for Christian care.
