Abstract: To what extent does Russia’s war against Ukraine affect German-language authors? What influence does it have on their literary self-image, their subjects and their language? Texts by Durs Grünbein, Kerstin Preiwuss and Marcel Beyer will be analyzed in this context. All three authors see the war as a radical turning point and are struggling to find new forms of literary expression for this sense of crisis.
