Abstract: Gender and sexuality are critically important factors in postwar West German anticommunist and antislavic attitudes. Fantasies and fears about a reversed gendered order in ‘the East‘ significantly contributed to anti-‘Eastern‘ resentments in Adenauer-era Germany.
