Abstract: Mainframe systems continue to play a foundational role in large-scale enterprise computing, especially inindustries such as banking, insurance, healthcare, and government. These systems rely on Job ControlLanguage (JCL) and utilities like ICETOOL, DFSORT, and SORT to perform data extractions,transformation, and reporting at high volumes and with mission-critical reliability.However, legacy scripting environments like ICETOOL present a significant barrier to modern developmentpractices:At the same time, SQL has become the universal language for querying and manipulating structured data.Most modern developers and analysts are highly proficient in SQL syntax but may lack the mainframeexpertise to create equivalent ICETOOL or JCL scripts.This invention introduces a Python-based parser and code generation framework that transforms SQL-stylequeries into ICETOOL-compatible JCL scripts
