Nigeria Youths in Politics: A Sustainable Model for Youth Civic Engagement and Leadership Development
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This publication presents Nigeria Youths in Politics (NYP), a sustainable civic engagement model designed to close the gap between Nigerian youths and political participation. It explores the current state of youth involvement, key barriers such as apathy, lack of access, and limited political knowledge, and proposes a practical solution combining civic education, mentorship, and direct pathways into governance. Backed by mixed-methods research, market analysis, and a structured implementation plan, this work outlines NYP’s potential to empower young Nigerians and strengthen ethical, youth-driven leadership across the country.
