Recipe Book – Web-Based Recipe Recommendation System using Python , Flask and SQLite
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Cooking is a daily necessity, yet users frequently struggle to decide what to prepare with the ingredients they have. Traditional recipe sources—such as notebooks and printed books—are difficult to organize and cannot support fast keyword-based search. Online recipe platforms provide thousands of dishes but are often cluttered with ads and lack personalization. The proposed system addresses these inefficiencies through a web-based platform that allows users to browse recipes, search using ingredients, add new dishes to a structured database, and submit feedback. The system is intentionally kept simple, modular, and lightweight, making it ideal for academic use and small-scale deployments.
