Multicellularity Just Emerged From Physics Alone — No Biology Required.
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study presents a breakthrough 80-million-year prebiotic Earth simulation showing that multicellular, tissue-like structures can emerge purely from physics—without genetics, metabolism, or biological rules. The model demonstrates stable 60-node multicellular lattices formed through energy gradients, density fields, and environmental forcing, converging toward a universal attractor state. These findings suggest that multicellularity may be an inherent planetary process rather than a rare biological accident, reshaping how we think about the origins of complex life.
