Thesis - Investigating the Effectiveness of the Digitalized Recruitment and Selection Process in Hiring the Best Talent - A Case Study of ABC Hotel
Year: 2025
Type: dissertation
Abstract: This study examines the effectiveness of digitalized recruitment and selection (R&S) processes in the hospitality sector, using ABC Hotel in Qatar as a case study. Through qualitative analysis involving semi-structured interviews with HR and operational managers, the research explores how digital tools—such as AI, ATS, social media, and data analytics—impact talent acquisition, employer branding, and employee retention. Key findings highlight the dual role of digital R&S: while it enhances efficiency, candidate reach, and hiring quality, it also presents challenges including technological barriers, resistance to change, and difficulties in assessing soft skills and cultural fit. The study offers actionable recommendations for optimizing digital recruitment strategies, emphasizing the need for continuous adaptation, data-driven decision-making, and alignment between HR and IT functions. This research contributes to both academic discourse and practical HRM by bridging gaps in localized studies within Qatar’s hospitality industry and providing insights into the integration of digital tools in talent management.
