Abstract: Globally, the manufacturing sector is changing as the use of artificial intelligence, robotics and advanced technology grows at a rapid rate. To compete, companies must adapt and continually engage in research and innovation. Companies in developing countries like South Africa face a growing crisis if they do not keep up.
