Custom AI in the Classroom: A Copilot Studio Case Study

Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: Looking for low-code / no-code solutions that allow faculty to develop their own AI for their own classes? In Fall 2024, Florida State University partnered with Microsoft to empower its faculty to create their own GPTs using Microsoft Copilot Studio. Faculty across campus participated in a pilot test where they created custom GPTs, trained them on their course syllabi, assignments, lectures, and more, and then made those GPTs available to their students. This presentation will present lessons learned from this pilot test regarding best practices for giving faculty the tools to create their own custom AI applications for their classes.
