Pandemic preparedness among diagnostic radiographers during COVID-19
Year: 2022
Type: preprint
Abstract: Since preventing a pandemic is difficult, the preparedness of medical imaging and other health professionals will be essential. The substantial body of literature found not only established the adverse effects of COVID-19 on radiographers, but also demonstrated what was implemented indicating a level of preparedness. However, studies detailing combative strategies and readiness are scattered. This scoping review will map the empirical evidence relevant to pandemic preparedness of medical imaging departments during COVID-19. This will guide future research in the development of pandemic preparedness tools and resources for not only medical imaging professionals but also other health disciplines, to face the current pandemic and other potential future disease outbreaks.
