Extensive leptomeningeal metastases by lung adenocarcinoma in asymptomatic patient: case report and literature review

Abstract: Leptomeningeal metastases (LM) can potentially arise from any solid or haematological tumour. The incidence is certainly underestimated compared to the real figure and therefore, given the aggressiveness and poor prognosis of this clinical entity, it is important to make a diagnosis as soon as possible, which is often complex. In this paper we present a case of LM with extensive cerebellar involvement in a lung adenocarcinoma patient completely asymptomatic.
