Abstract: This survey paper presents a detailed study of the NEXTGEN Voting System, a secure and transparent blockchain-based online voting platform designed for modern digital elections. The paper analyzes existing voting challenges, system architecture, authentication mechanisms, blockchain integration, workflow, benefits, limitations, and future enhancements. It highlights how decentralization, cryptographic hashing, immutability, and smart verification collectively improve the security and efficiency of voting. This paper has been prepared as part of the Diploma in Computer Engineering final-year project submission.
