Frequency-Induced Modulation of Material Behaviour via Resonant Quantum-Lattice Vibrational Coupling

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Matter is fundamentally vibrational. Every solid, liquid, and molecular system possesses intrinsicvibrational eigenfrequencies spanning macroscopic acoustic modes to microscopic quantumphonon oscillations. This research develops a unified theoretical framework—ResonantBehaviour Modulation (RBM)—which proposes that externally applied electromagnetic, acoustic, or multiphysics frequencies can temporarily modulate mechanical, electrical, andthermodynamic properties by perturbing the internal lattice-energy landscape. The RBM theory incorporates anharmonic phonon coupling, frequency-dependent elasticmodulus modulation, and quantum-scale vibration–field interactions. A generalised latticeHamiltonian is derived, including nonlinear coupling constants, to evaluate how resonanceamplification alters elasticity, damping, conductivity, and phase stability. We propose multi-stage experimental protocols combining Resonant Ultrasound Spectroscopy(RUS), Broadband Viscoelastic Spectroscopy (BVS), THz-induced electron-mobility analysis, and LDV-based mechanical tracking. Predicted outcomes include reversible softening of metals, enhanced mobility in conductive materials under THz irradiation, frequency-dependent polymerflexibility, and reduced activation barriers in molecular phase transitions.Furthermore, this work establishes a rigorous mathematical connection between microscopicphonon-coupling coefficients (λₙₘ, Λₙₘₖ) and macroscopic RBM-behaviour coefficients (k₁, k₂,k₃), strengthening the predictive capability of the RBM framework.
