From Prediction to Viability: Beyond Scaling Laws for Autonomous Agents
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This working paper explores the necessary conditions for cognitive homeostasis in autonomous architectures. By applying principles of non-equilibrium statistical physics to information processing dynamics, we identify the theoretical limits of behavioral stability under continuous information flow. Our analysis suggests that the persistence of intelligence is not guaranteed by scale alone but relies on intrinsic regulation mechanisms currently absent from standard architectures. This work establishes thermodynamic stability as a fundamental precondition for the transition from specialized agents to Independant Intelligence.
