Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This article proposes a study of the elements of change and continuity in the spaces for eating and drinking together in Madrid from 1875 to 1970. An analysis is conducted on three key variables for this evolution: spatial-material elements, legal elements, and pragmatic elements. With this, the aim is to elucidate some key terminological differences in the consideration of social spaces, taking into account their materiality, as well as the practices developed within them and the meanings attributed to them.
