Abstract: It has been proved that the clinical etiology and pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and the organs adjacent to it are multifactorial. The weakening of the specific, humoral and special defence mechanisms of the human body, deficiency and trauma of the organs of the oral cavity, and in particular bacterial inflammation of the periodontal tissues in patients suffering from bronchial asthma, cause the development of periodontitis to intensify. This creates a discomforting environment for patients and leads to acute and chronic inflammation of the periosteum, the periodontium and the dental alveolar sockets.
