The Long-Term Impact of Wind Power on Geopolitical and Economic Energy Security Risks in the United States
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study estimates the long-term effects of wind power on both geopolitical and economic energy security in the United States. Using structural break cointegration and dynamic estimation methods, we find strong evidence of a long-term equilibrium relationship between wind power and energy security. The results show that wind power significantly reduces both geopolitical and economic energy security risks in the United States.
